Chapter Book Cover
I wish I could have done every prompt in Folktale Week this year (it’s truly one of my most loved social media art challenges to participate in) but I only managed one! Rather than honoring a classic tale I decided to create my own legendary lore narrative. I chose the prompt “trail” and immediately thought of this adventurous little Nordic girl on a quest to find a mystical dragon. So here’s my contribution for 2024... which I turned into an early reader chapter book cover. Enjoy my workings from the initial brainstorming stage in my sketchbook through to the colour final. Black and white inner illustrations are to follow.
