"Let's build a boat" poem
I created these illustrations for the Little Hare Prize for Illustration 2020 run by Hardie Grant's Children's Publishing. The brief was to illustrate one full colour spread, one black and white spread as well as some character studies for a poem titled "Let's build a boat!" by Jane Godwin. My interpretation took the boat building from small scale in a stream to a larger than life adventure in a treacherous ocean and back again.
