"Joy" TIS&CYA Award 2021
My entry for The Illustration Station and CYA Conference Award 2021 was placed as "Runner Up" in the Aspiring Illustrator division. The prompt given was "joy" and it was certainly a joy to explore this theme and create this illustration for picture book format. I wanted the love and fun of dressing up to shine through as the little boy cartwheeled his way over to his fabulous dancing grandmother. Congrats to the winner and all those shortlisted, it was stiff competition from amazing talents all over the world!
